The Dupo High School Dance Force squad got crazy as they held a ‘Crazy Bowl’ event Friday evening at Westpark Bowl in Columbia. The event was held to raise funds for new uniforms for the Dance Force as they make their way toward state competition in 2010.
The Dupo Dance Force will be competing December 13th at Belleville East High School in Belleville. Teams compete at various competitions in order to accumulate points for their squad. Each team must have 70 points by seasons end in order to qualify for the state competition. Earlier this fall the Dance Force competed at the DuQuoin State Fair finishing 2nd & 3rd in two categories against 7 teams from southern Illinois.
The Dance Force will be performing at DHS boys basketball home games this winter as preparation for their competitions. They will also be hosting a girls dance camp in January although no date has been set at this time. And the team is currently selling TJ’s Pizzas as well.
