Mayor Ronnie Dell begins his third term as mayor of Dupo, prior to that he served as a trustee. Mr. Dell wears several hats in this community such as EMT for the volunteer Fire Department, and supervisor in Unit #196 school district, and many other capacities.
He is a lifelong resident of Dupo and a 1975 graduate of Dupo Community High School. He has worked hard to restore pride within the community, and has been aggressive in attracting new industry to the area.
He also has been busy along with the Board of Trustees in looking for ways to revamp Main Street to exhibit with an nostalgic atmosphere which would highlight the railroad and historic buildings dating back to the incorporation of the village in 1907.
Mr. Dell is a down to earth kind of person, treating the citizens with kindness and great respect. But he is a no-nonsense kind of mayor taking his job very serious, and working hard to improve the quality of life for the residents of Dupo.
