The German Youth Ambassadors enjoyed local activities including a Gateway Grizzlies baseball game, St. Louis Muny Opera, and a BBQ hosted by Millstadt Sister Cities members. The German students observed classes for several days at Belleville West High School and returned to Germany on Auguust 29 after a month-long stay in Millstadt.
Millstadt Sister Cities Youth Ambassadors, Amanda Araiza, Amanda Klein, Kevin Logan and Alexandra Rist, recently spent a month experiencing the culture and hospitality of Millstadt’s Sister City, Gross-Bieberau, Germany. In turn, they and their families are currently hosting their German exchange partners, Katrin Bock, Justus Boehm, Lisann Gulatz, and Felix Braune.
Upon their arrival in the U.S. on July 29, the German students were welcomed by Millstadt Sister Cities Organization President, John Baltz, and their host families at a pizza party reception. Youth Ambassador Exchange Chair, Tracy Brubeck, presented the students with pre-paid calling cards provided by Millstadt Sister Cities,

swimming pool passes from the Village of Millstadt, gift certificates from Happy Days Ice Cream Shop, K & K Subs dba Subway Sandwich Shop, Margarita’s Mexican Grill, McDonald’s Restaurants/ Burris Management, Lincoln Theater, The Edge Miniature Golf and Centerfield Park as well as samples of American junk food. Harrisonville Telephone Company also provided financial support for the exchange.
