Millstadt Family Chiropractic holds a
Grand Re-Opening

Saturday, February 6, 2010

By Ronald Hebel

Even though it was a cold, snowy day, there was a good turn out to celebrate the grand re-opening of Millstadt Family Chiropractic. Various city dignitaries were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony, Millstadt Mayor Weldon Harber, Millstadt Chamber members; President Lisa Bowman, Chamber Board of Directors present were Mike French, Monsanto Corporation; Dennis Meile, First National Bank of St. Louis; Al Lehr, Lehr Vegtable Farm; John Ruggeri, In-Land Technologies; Ambassadors included Joyce Smallwood, First National Bank of St. Louis; Al, John and Dennis are also Ambassadors for the Chamber. Others on hand to celebrate were Dr. Steve’s family members, office manager Claudia Neumann, several other friends and patient’s. (If you would like to list the names of family & friends, please feel free to do so).

It was a very festive atmosphere with balloons, streamers, and lots of pastries and refreshments for all to enjoy. The reason for the grand re-opening is due to the expansion of the practice. The practice has more than doubled in floor space, adding more rooms. As a new patient you would first counsel with Dr. Steve in his office, then next move on to the exam room, and then the x-ray room, if needed, all in a nice flow from room to room. Other treatment rooms include the Spinal Decompression room and the Pro Adjustor room (more on these treatment rooms below). It was a very fun morning with many winning attendance prizes that were donated for this joyous occasion. Below I have listed the winners as well as the donors.

When you first arrive at the practice you are met by the lovely and friendly Claudia Neumann. Claudia just recently joined the staff as Office Manager & Chiropractic Assistant. She has provided patient care in various healthcare settings for over 20 years. She has experience providing care to all age groups. Once Claudia gets you all settled Dr. Steve will begin his consultation.

Millstadt Family Chiropractic has been operating since 2001 under the direction of Dr. Steve Knoernschild. Dr. Steven Knoernschild attended Logan College of Chiropractic. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology in 1998 and Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 2000. He is the owner and president of Millstadt Family Chiropracitc, P.C. MFC has been in operation since 2001 and serves a wide variety of health conditions, and people of all ages.

Dr. Knoernschild is a certified "Pro-Adjuster" technique doctor. He also has the Advanced Profeciency Rating with Activator Methods International. Other methods Dr. Knoernschild uses in his office are Diversified (twisting &cracking of bones), Applied Kiniseology, Active Release Technique, Logan Basic Technique, specific exercise programs, and individual nutritional counseling. Dr. Knoernschild is also a certified personal trainer with the ACA.

Dr. Knoernschild is very active in his local community and donates his time and funds to a number of local charities and organizations.

SPINAL DECOMPRESSION ROOM

Understanding the spine is the key to understanding why chiropractic doctors do what they do and why they obtain extraordinary results with a variety of different conditions. One of the newest forms for relieving back pain is the spinal decompression table. MFC has acquired such a table and has helped hundreds of back pain sufferers relieve theie pain.  The spinal decompression table "stretches" the spine, to help take pressure off nerves exiting out of the spine, thus relieving pain.  Sessions last around 20  minutes and is covered by most insurance plans.

The spine is a complex structure containing a number of associated muscles, ligaments, joints and nerves which commonly become irritated and injured. Extended sitting, repetitive motions, bad postural habits, mental stress, lack of exercise and inadequate nutritional intake are just some of the everyday stresses which accumulate to produce devastating effects on the spinal components.

Doctors of chiropractic are the health care leaders in providing safe, fast and effective relief for most spinal problems.

PRO ADJUSTER ROOM

Advances in computers and engineering technologies have been able to uniquely blend with Chiropractic in order to both analyze and treat the human body in such a way that was never before realized. The potentional for a human being to end pain and to achieve their peak nervous system function has never been greater. Humans are consistantly asking their bodies to peform at higher levels. Now we have the techniques and the technology to match the demand on the spine and the nervous system. We now have the capability to fine tune our own energy and enhance every aspect of our lives. You can achieve maximum health for your body now and in the future beginning with a simple anatomical concept. The number one way is allowing a doctor of Chiropractic using the ProAdjuster equipment to analzye and treat your nervous system. For more information on the ProAdjuster and how it works and can help you go to www.millstadtfamilychiropractic.com/index.php?p=35960.
