The Millstadt Illinois Chamber of Commerce launched January 21, 2009. Why a Chamber of Commerce? The membership of this organization will be business people from the community concerned about improving the area they conduct business and willing to work hard for the future of the community. The organization membership will consist of large and small businesses, working together to create a solid business environment for the Village of Millstadt.
During 2008, the Village engaged in a reevaluation process of their Comprehensive Plan, a development plan for the community. During this evaluation, an economic development committee was created to devise the best way to assist Millstadt businesses development. During these discussions, it became very apparent that the creation of a Chamber of Commerce for the businesses of our community would create an excellent networking and educational opportunity. Members of this committee have stayed the course in development of the Chamber of Commerce and serve on the newly formed Board of Directors.
What better way to take hold of our community and look to the future, than by working together as one entity for the betterment of all. We will create a stronger business environment, learn from each other, work together and create new opportunities for the future of our Community.
