The Jr. Class sponsored a Mouse Race event as a fundraiser. There was more than 100 people at this race, and it seemed like everybody who was somebody was at this event. This was my first mouse race and it made for a very fun evening. There was a silent auction of donated goods by various individuals and companies to also help raise funds.
Some of the winners were Palmiero in the first race paying out $10; Willie McGee in the second race paying out $4. Other winners was Marcus Liberty, Kevin McHale, Tony Stewart and Schumaker. One of the other events was roulette, where a mouse is let loose in the middle of a roulette table and whatever card it touches with both paws you are the winner if you have that card. The company “Fairmont Mouse Track” was used to hold this event.
